A Baldwin man was detained when deputies from the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office discovered he had a warrant for his arrest in Pennsylvania.

Gregory M. Parker, 39, was captured on Wednesday, October 30, as a fugitive from justice in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, according to the sheriff’s office.

According to deputies, road patrol deputies were dispatched to the area of Breesport North Chemung Road in the Town of Baldwin on Wednesday after receiving a report of a guy wandering up and down the road yelling.

Deputies arrived at the site and discovered Parker walking down the road, and after an investigation discovered that he had a warrant for his arrest. Parker was then apprehended and charged as a fugitive from justice.

Parker’s accusations were read to him in Ashland Town Court, and he was returned to the Chemung County Jail to await extradition to Pennsylvania.
