If you qualify and are a family of five, SNAP can give you a check for up to $1,158 if you don’t get any other benefits. Remember that you need to file and get permission. The USDA and its Food and Nutrition Service have made these two standards very important.
The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities says that a family of five can get back about $845 a month. The average and highest amounts of food stamps are both great if you are having money problems and can’t afford to buy healthy food. Lots of Americans are eligible, but they haven’t applied yet.

SNAP amounts in November
The 2025 COLA raise will be added to all SNAP payments. That’s why their highest amounts will stay the same as they were in October. Families with eight children will get the most money, up to $1,756 in cash.
People can now get up to $292 in Food Stamps, up from $291. As you can see, the COLA raise has not been very big because there has been a small change.
The most a family of four can get is $975, up from $973. Keep in mind that SNAP benefits can be combined with SSI benefits, as well as retirement or SSDI benefits from Social Security.
