A Woodland man has been arrested in Maine for allegedly dropping explosives on victims

A man from Woodland, 37 years old, was caught after dropping homemade bombs on victims and setting them off with explosives.

Woodland Man Arrested for Using Explosives on Victims

Maine State Police caught Joshua Brydon from Woodland because the State Fire Marshal had a warrant out for his arrest.

Facing Multiple Charges

It is alleged that Brydon set five fires, attempted one fire, used explosives illegally six times, stalked two people, and put a child in danger one time.

IEDs Targeted Several Victims in Woodland

After 18 months of investigation, police say Brydon used “improvised explosive devices and improvised incendiary devices to target multiple victims in the town of Woodland.”

Explosive Devices Dropped by Drones and Planted by Hand

“Some of the items were dropped by UAS (drone), and others were put there or thrown by hand,” said Shannon Moss, Department of Public Safety of Maine Public Information Officer.

Law Enforcement Involved in Case

The Maine State Police, the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and Homeland Security Investigations were all involved in the probe.

Transported to County Jail

Brydon was taken to the Houlton Aroostook County Jail.
