Pearl River traffic stop ends with two persons facing narcotics accusations

According to the Pearl River Police Department, two individuals were taken into custody earlier this month as a result of a traffic check.

An officer reported that they smelled what they believed to be drugs in a red Ford Edge that was pulled over by the Pearl River Police Department at approximately 1:55 a.m. on October 7.

Substances such as cocaine, ecstasy tablets, pre-rolled marijuana cigars, a scale, bags, and a firearm were discovered by the officers who searched the vehicle.

Michael Randolph and Mikequil Young, both of New Orleans, were the individuals that were taken into custody.

A total of eight different accusations have been brought against Randolph, including possession with the intent to distribute, driving infractions, and possession of a firearm.

Young is being charged with four distinct drug offenses, including possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
