The newest addition from Old Town Enters World In A Special Way…At School!

Before giving birth, one of the first things new parents learn in birthing class is to make a plan, but be ready for that plan to change.

Babies have their own schedules, especially when it comes to where and when they come into the world. Anyone who has had a baby knows this.

Four of them have been born, and not a single one did me the honour of being on time. Three were late, and one was early.

It’s clear that Old Town High School Jobs for Maine Grads teacher Tori Hildreth thought she had a lot of time to get some things done before little Bella Reese was due to come. That being said, this wasn’t her first game, and Hildreth was healthy and happy.

Like always, she went to work on Tuesday, but by the end of the day, she had added an extra name to the school’s daily attendance sheet.

The people who run the Old Town High School Facebook page said that the staff member who used to go to Old Town High School and graduated in 2012 gave the school nurse and police officer a real-life quiz in labour and delivery that day.

“Tori started having contractions just before the end of the school day. As they got worse, she called her mum, Clarice Chavaree Hildreth (OTHS Class of 1992). Jana Caron, our school nurse, and Willy King, our school resource officer, were called to the scene.

Bella chose to jump into Nurse Jana’s ready arms while Tori was being moved into her mother’s car to go home. EMS had already been called, and when they got there, Tori’s dad, Mike Hildreth (OTHS Class of 1988), was running the fire truck.

What could that even mean?!

Congratulations to the parents, grandparents, big sister, mum, dad, and staff at Old Town High School for what has to be one of the coolest school projects ever done there.

Beautiful baby Bella, welcome to the world! If you go to Old Town High School like your parents and grandparents did, you will graduate in 2042, according to mathematicians.
