The first Brews on the Chippewa will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Durand, featuring a variety of regional bluegrass music and local craft beverages.
More breweries will be announced soon, but confirmed participants include Durand Brewing Co., Zymurgy Brewing Co. (Menomonie), Bloomer Brewing Co., and Northwoods Brewery (Osseo).
Entry to the event is free, but a $25 wristband allows you to sample four 5-ounce pours and includes a souvenir cup to keep. Additional pints and samples can be bought throughout the day.
The event starts at 1 PM, with performances scheduled as follows: Sethel at 2 PM, Sammie Jean Cohen at 3:15 PM, Drew Peterson at 4:30 PM, High & Rising at 6 PM, and Feed the Dog at 8 PM.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of bluegrass styles, from high-energy dance to heartfelt roots melodies and country grass.
