The 4th annual Recovery Walk Block Party will be held by Save A Life Recovery Resource Center to celebrate recovery and raise money for local resources.

 

On Friday, September 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., the 4th annual Recovery Walk Block Party will take place at the Save A Life Recovery Resource Center in Lincoln.

 

The community gets together every year for this event to promote recovery, show off local resources, and create a family-friendly space with music, food, and activities for all ages.

 

The Recovery Walk Block Party is meant to give people in rural areas hope and support by showing how strong and resilient people who are in recovery are.

 

A lot of different local groups will be at this year’s event to share important recovery tools and information. There will be food, live music, and fun games for everyone to enjoy, so the whole family can go.

  • Participating organizations: A variety of local organizations offering recovery resources and support including Cold Stream Cruzers, Possibilities, Wabanaki Alliance, Machias Savings Bank, Lincoln Police Dept, Bangor Public Health, Liberty Bay Recovery Center, Burlington Food Pantry, HEAL, True Connections, Lincoln Center Church of God, Select Designs, MERAP, and many more.

Kelly Cookson, head of Save A Life Recovery Resource Center, said, “The Recovery Walk Block Party is more than just a party.

 

It’s a chance for our community to come together, support each other, and spread the word about the resources that are out there for people in recovery.” “We’re thankful that so many local groups have worked with us and that our community is so excited about helping people get better.”
