Hawley and Kunce speak on future debate with FOX 2

ST. LOUIS – There was big news in the race for Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat on Wednesday. FOX 2 will host the only discussion between Lucas Kunce, the Democratic candidate, and Josh Hawley, the Republican incumbent.

“Debate Night in Missouri: The Race for the U.S. Senate” will happen at 7 p.m. on Oct. 31, which is Halloween night. Missouri Nexstar stations will show it live all over the state.

After the reveal, the two candidates were already going at it in interviews.

For months, they had been saying they wanted to argue. When they finally met in person at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia in August, it was quite a show.

Finally, on Wednesday, they decided to debate, just five days before the general election in November.

Kunce said, “I think the stress has finally worn him down.” “We’re very happy.” A lot of times, we’ve talked about how Missouri voters deserve to see how different we are.

Hasley said, “I hope he’ll show up.” “I’m thankful that they agreed to do it.” They also said they would show our discussion at the state fair.

This week, our new poll from Emerson College, The Hill, and Nexstar gave Hawley an 11-point lead, but even he thinks the race is tighter.

The two groups’ ads have taken over the media.

Kunce is lying about Hawley’s views on IVF and abortion cases, which Hawley says are both things he supports.

Kunce says Hawley lied about where he stood on making electric cars mandatory. There is an ad for Hawley that says Kunce wants to take away pickup trucks from people in Missouri. Kunce says this is obviously not true.

Kunce said, “This is what a scared man does.” “A man who is scared either doesn’t debate at all or waits until the very end.” It’s what he does: they spread lies about his opponent on TV.

“I’m glad people will be able to see both of us and hear my opponent defend his crazy ideas. For example, is he really going to support Kamala Harris for president?” “He still hasn’t answered this question,” Hawley said.

Kunce doesn’t think it’s his job to tell other people how to vote in a different race, so he doesn’t support Kamala Harris for president. It’s likely that Hawley will bring it up again when the two men meet at FOX 2 in St. Louis on Halloween night.
