STATEWIDE — E-TIPP, which stands for Energy Transitions Initiative Partnership Project, has chosen five communities in the state of Maine to participate in it.
These municipalities are the ones that have been chosen to take part in the project. Under the direction of the Department of Energy, this project is being administered.
The E-TIPP program offers assistance to communities that are located on the coast, in remote locations, and on islands in determining and increasing their energy requirements.
This assistance is provided through the execution of community projects. For your convenience, the office of Senator Angus King has provided this information.
This endeavor will involve participation from a total of five different communities in different capacities.
Brooklin, Chebeague Island, Cranberry Isles, the Passamaquoddy tribe at the Pleasant Point Reservation, and Washington County are the locations that fall under this category.
The following comment was given by Senators King and Collins in response to the federal investment: “This federal investment will significantly increase energy reliability and affordability in addition to working on emissions.”
